4 Pound ERA

Public Service Announcement
*****

Elijah Reuben Anderson broke the 4 pound barrier over last nite. His weight gain is picking up momentum... :) He's getting cheeks apparently, all the better for great aunts to pinch i suppose.
/ i can't wait 'til work is done today, so i can go and visit the little gaffer.

ERA is easy to share

My folks were at the hospital today, they got to hold elijah for the first time. That was a hoot for them.
These pics are from last nite (i think) or the nite before... the same nite we bought the camera (when was that again).

Boy, using this new Kodak, pictures sure are easy to share ;)

i just love how wide eyed he is... he's just taking it all in, soaking it all up... don't mind the 18 centimeter line in his nose... that's the very last bit of tubing he's got to deal with.

Easy Share

Renee has a digital camera now, the batteries are charging as i type. Tomorrow she will likely take it along to the hospital where our little boy ERA is nearing 4 pounds. He's getting so big ;)

After much procrastination, and some deliberation, many thanks to all the suggestions and assistance given regarding a digi-cam. We're on our way :)

ERA Transfers to Hat

Saturday afternoon i raced home from Calgary, driving behind the ambulance transporting my boy and my wife, Renee. As of Saturday nite, Elijah is in Level 2 care at Medicine Hat Hospital, and Renee is back in my bed. Another step closer to being a complete (under one roof) family.
This morning the Doctor removed Elijah Reuben's PIC line... he is now off additional nutrients, and is wholely on the good stuff that mom provides! We are racing forward.
Call one of our cell phone's to visit... We'd love to see you, just not all at once :)

baby boy borrows car

This baby boy borrows his folks car, picks up a cute little blonde, and then goes surfing. Great spot. Some advertising precepts are timeless... like using cute babies in marketing, for cars. heh.

Timely too,
/notice the driving wheel is on the wrong side? any idea where this ad ran?
Found the link on Brentter. enjoy!

And now, off to see MY boy :D , who can't quite reach the peddles, yet.

Guy comments on Canada

Guy Kawasaki, whom i've referenced before, is blogging about what he's learned from reading a world bank report on doing business in 2006 world wide. (Canada is rated 4th overall, btw)... and this is the comment, from Guy that made me smile! he know's us rather well...
"Canada has the least rigid working hours. (It’s not clear if this is year round or just during hockey season.)"

/and now, back to work... all the coffee is drunk :)

Marketing Matters

Marketing works, marketing matters and other messages we repeat to ourselves... the little snippits of wisdom help us sleep at night.

"Yes, marketing works. The Saturday Journal writes about Michelle Nimmons, who runs the Denmark-Olar Teen Life Center in Denmark, SC. She and her staff (using nothing but marketing techniques like billboards, classroom sessions, free dinners and condom distribution) have cut the teen pregnancy rate by more than 60%. It's now, by far, the lowest in the state, a fraction of the rate in the next county.

Most marketing problems aren't intractable. They are solved with persistence, consistency and attention to detail. When marketing doesn't work, it's usually because the product is lousy. But the second reason is that the organization picks too big a marketplace in comparison to the resources they have available. I have no doubt that if Michelle tried to do her work in the entire state (with the same staff), she'd fail.

By overwhelming the market with her message, and by creating a platform for it to spread, she's proven it can work."

Big Yawn... BIG YAWN...

THAT is a big yawn... go Elijah... Yeeeesh. I'm just glad the eyes aren't puckered, so he doesn't appear to be upset, merely stretching! (it just occured to me, his friends will likely google his name, and get these picks for the slide show they present at their High School Grad. i may have socially scared the little guy, already i mean.)

Click here to see his prior BIG YAWN, not as big as this post, but big none the less... dude's under a week old (and under 4 pounds). Heh.

Web Squat Screen Shot

The above screen cap is what i took this morning before my site was returned to me... THAT will not happen again :)

jaceanderson.com

heh... anyone else notice the confusion my website had this morning? Not a big deal, there's so much of life that is more important than my blog, or anyones blog really (yes, Cuban, i'm talking about you - i love ya)
So... if you missed it, here's the play by play.
1 am this morning my blog domain name is up for renewal, but the registrar's auto renew option is gibbled, so my site lapses... i don't own it any more. When i arrive at 7:45 this morning for work my homepage isn't my blog (with pics of my new son) but a real estate directory. in the five hours a camper/squatter grabbed my domain name, likely because of ALL the traffic, so he could profit by trying to sell you all real estate in Anderson Indiana. I hope non of you bought, it would only encourage him.
When i get home i will upload a screen cap of what my site looked like for 5 hours this morning. Good times...
Glad to be back up... the three of you who read this blog, they must really have their demographics outta whack to think you're interested in real estate in Indiana. Heh.
