era - Bumbo Shopping

Elijah wanted me to let you all know! While you might be planning to buy the little gaffer gifts, no need to save up for a bumbo chair. He's got one! And here is what he has to say about it:

Silly blog readers, era doesn't type yet... he had his 4 month birthday a couple days ago... but he IS over 12 pounds now. WoOt!

Sleeping Bear

Today is a good day. i got this picture from my son, little Elijah Reuben Anderson. He sent it to me while i was at work this morning. Made my day!

Not only can the little gaffer email, it looks like he's pretty good printer too... he *might* have had some help. Maybe.
Then, over lunch (and again after supper this evening) era-bear and i got some much needed shut-eye. We were napping when Renee dropped by with our digi-cam.

Decisions, Choices & Options

Today was a good day (see last post). For another reason tho, today was a good day: I've been rooting for the B.C. Lions of the CFL (see three posts ago) and today they brought it ALL together, winning Le Coupe Grey's 94th challenge. I would have LOVED to be at this game, played in Winnipeg (how was it D.J?), also refered to as WINTERpeg, but for which i refer to as WINnipeg (Go Lions)! Maybe i will catch next years Coupe Grey in T dot. (Can you nab tickets Kyle? - get to work!)
I was thinking (after seeing tickets go on ebay) of driving down to Denver to catch the Bronco's Chargers NFL game going on right now (one sec - off to look). YEAAAARGH! My Bolts are closing out strong, taking first place after being in a tie with the Broncs. All is as it should be tonight!
So many Decisions, Choices & Options of how i spend my day today.
i gladly chose era's dedication... but next year! Here comes the football (live & in person).

Dedicated E R A

This morning Renee and i had the pleasure of dedicating Elijah Reuben Anderson to God. A moment we take at our Christian church (the link) to tell folks we'll raise era the best we can, asking for God's and the rest of the church's help. It's cool... like outta the old testament (but with out the animal sacrifices OF COURSE) :)

Fun, but not weird at all. Not at all like this ceremony over in Italy recently. Unlike that one (or at least what it sounds like from the rabid press) we invited actual freinds and family, we paid NO ONE to show up. Heh.

Macs Milk & MedHatBlog

I like Mac's. They are on my way home from work. They are open all hours. They sell the exact kind of milk we drink, the only kind we buy (yes, we are THAT brand consious - but we really can taste the difference)

This conversation (on medhatblog) does nothing to taint my addoration for Mac's here in Medicine Hat. Nothing. Silly conversation. i like Danger Mouse in this one... he's a bright and savvy guy (?).

Mark Washington

"Lions defensive back Mark Washington received the Tom Pate Memorial award for outstanding community service." - Globe & Mail
M.W. also served in East Africa this spring with the AIA trip i was a part of. One of many great people on that trip.
Congrats.

era GQ

Look out George Clooney, you may have won your second *sexiest man alive* award, but this boy is just gettin' started. Era bear (dressed and acting like he's off of Miami Vice) has got the serious *my eyes are melting* stare into the camera. The second pic is much more relaxed and fun loving. Smarmy even. Heh. Am i reading too much into this?

Me and my boy. Nothin' better.

Bing Blong

/my sides hurt just listening to this vid. Watch it, then listen to it without the visual, it might even be better.

CotC

It's been a while: A while since i linked it, and as long since i've read it. But the latest of the ongoing weekly Carnival of the Capitalists is up again.
/i might not be reading every single one, but that shouldn't stop you. Enjoy!

Remember

Two years ago today this blog started humble, or at least that's what i said. Two years later, i'd still rather focus on something as valuable as Remembrance Day, or era... (and frankly, i might still be searching for a blog-vision... don't tell)

era Weight Tracker

Ten Pound. Fifteen Ounce. Considering where he was at a week ago, that is a big increase. Keep eating.

Era Video

Here are a couple videos that Renee shot with our camera... i just loaded them into the interwebs... which as everyone already knows is just a series of tubes. (yes, i am being silly, only American Senator Ted Stevens thinks *that internet* is a series of tubes.) And now, the renewed focus of this humble blog: Era-Bear.

Elijah's Latest

This is one of the latest pics of our boy Elijah Reuben Anderson

These pics were of his very first toga bath party.

great shot that Renee took. Now that he's getting so big, era doesn't make the diamond look as big as it did when he was born. (Too bad)

Ten Pound Era-Bear

Pictures to imortalise the day era-bear broke the ten pound weight class. Did i say broke, i mean smash (like a Hulk-SMASH sort of break)

That's Elijah and 2 five pound weights. (i don't know what we will do when he reaches 20 pounds, those are the biggest weights i own)

Elijah hangin' on his back with King, who also loves to lounge on his back.
/That cat is big. Elijah Reuben isn't *that* big yet.

Always time to goof around a little. Great hat (Thanks Dr. Laura), a little large yet, not a bad look tho, still!

Pumpkin Pie & the Rabbit

Elijah has taken to emailing me pictures while i am at work. He send's the pictures that his mom takes with the digital camera. Elijah also sends notes along. It brightens my day every time. I can't wait for him to start talking :) and telling me stuff.

I LOVE that pic of him and the rabbit.
