From this same article; a record 31 per cent of households (in Alberta) bought new computer hardware. I am, unfortunately, one of the remaining 69 per cent who continue using old technology. Much to the chagrin of those folks I *used* to play COD2 with. It’s been a while. Meh.

I don't use Etrade, i prefer my good friend Kyle. This ad is not going to inspire me to begin using Etrade, but this ad did inspire me to blog it. That must be saying something? What, i don't know.

Spidey & era & Speed Painting

Today era wore his spidey slippers with the light-up eyes. They looked kind of like moon boots on the little boy. I am slowly ensuring that era grow up with Spidey along side (thank you Marvel...). You will recall the indoctrination includes memorizing the original animated jingle. And now, pictorial proof i'm dressing the little gaffer up in spidey wear.


Life is good. Life isn't any worse with spidey duds on.

A Year Ago

A year ago this weekend;

We played basketball in Millar, ate at the Trove.

Then i took era swimming for the first time.

Zambia & Africa Cup

This youtube clip is a couple weeks old. Africa Cup of Nations. Zambia needed a win against reigning champion Egypt in order to advance. A tie wouldn't be enough.

It is worth noting that, if you were in Zambia, these youtube clips might have been your only opportunity to watch portions of the match. Unless the Zambian government hadn't bailed out the Zambian Broadcasting Network like they did in 2006. This year they were unable to raise the funds necessary to license the event for local television, and i haven't found yet if they were bailed out or not (Zambian President says NO! get your priorities straightened out - my paraphrase). Can you imagine that happening in Canada for hockey? our national sport. No, i didn't think so.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Zambia on several occasions. In fact, a tour of Zambia is being prepared for this April. H.C is preparing the tour with AIA. B.K. is preparing to join the trip... i will be supportive from home, but alas, i won't be joining this trip.

Worth noting, the Suns (and therefore Steve Nash) have just picked up Shaquille O'neal aka the Diesel. This should be interesting.
